WHAT’S going on at Fremantle? The president has quit, players want out and the biggest name of all could also be heading out the door.

Nathan Fyfe will be a free agent next year and could see the writing on the wall after Hayden Ballantyne reportedly requested a trade to West Coast, following assistant coach Peter Sumich and possibly club favourites Aaron Sandilands and Michael Barlow. Dockers legend Peter Bell describes the situation at the club as “horrid”.

“He (Fyfe) is gettable — throw him $2 million a year,” Michael Warner said on the Round 21 episode of the SuperFooty Podcast.

“What about Essendon, they’ve got pick one, they could get pick four for (Michael) Hurley, you say, ‘There you go Freo’ — bang.”

The podcast team — Warner, Sam Edmund and Anthony Hudson — agreed that “all roads lead to” senior coach Ross Lyon, and asked if he had reached his use-by date.

The team also debated Geelong’s get-out-of-jail win against Richmond and what it means for this year’s premiership, whether Melbourne can make the finals, which coaches will be under the most pressure next year, the precarious position of North Melbourne’s list, and what could be the biggest trade period in history.
