AFTER three weeks of hearbreaking losses, Richmond finally won a close one after a nailbiting 15-point win against Essendon.
It wasn’t until there was two minutes to go that Tigers fans could breathe easy after Toby Nankervis kicked the sealing goal. Richmond stayed in the top eight, as did the Western Bulldogs with their 40-point win over St Kilda. Melbourne kept its finals hopes alive, recovering from a 30-point deficit against Gold Coast to win by 35 points.
