AFL Daily: St Kilda coach Alan Richardson says the club will be aggressive this off-season

ALAN Richardson says St Kilda would be interesting in luring Dan Hannebery this trade period. Meanwhile, Essendon clarifies its position on Dayne Beams, the latest on Jordan de Goey and David King v Gerard Whateley.

St Kilda coach Alan Richardson has talked up a potential trade for Dan Hannebery, provided the Sydney on-baller is available.

While Hannebery has struggled this season and only managed 11 games, if he can regain his form he would be a major boost for the Saints. “What I can say is we’re looking to bring in elite talent, whether that’s through the trade period or through the national draft,” Richardson said. “So we’ll look everywhere. “We’ll look at players of various ages, various positions who we think complement the work we’ve already done. “So Dan fits into that category, if it is that he’s available, then absolutely we’d be interested - we want to be aggressive.” Perfect 9 promo 728x90 The Saints have gone backwards this season after being in strong finals contention last year and are 15th with three games left. Asked what he would say to long-suffering St Kilda fans, Richardson said: “We have been inconsistent and we share that frustration.” There was good news this week, with the club re-signing Tim Membrey and Jimmy Webster.
