HOW WILL THEY PLAY?

Expect more of the same committed team approach from Ross Lyon's men as Fremantle hopes its star veterans can stand up. What stands out for the Dockers is the squad's depth, with the addition of Colin Sylvia and Scott Gumbleton adding to the squeeze for spots. Sylvia is expected to be an automatic inclusion, while marking target Gumbleton could play alongside skipper Matthew Pavlich in the pre-season if the Dockers want to experiment with a taller forward line. Jon Griffin would be the first ruckman in many teams but may struggle for a game behind Aaron Sandilands and Zac Clarke. Clancee Pearce, Nic Suban, Hayden Crozier, Cameron Sutcliffe and Tom Sheridan would also hope for regular games.

READY TO FLY

His name comes with a massive asterisk next to it, but in Anthony Morabito the Dockers have an explosive 22-year-old midfielder taken at No. 4 in the draft. Morabito showed his class in 23 games in his debut season in 2010 but has not been seen since after injuring his knee three times. A Morabito comeback early in the season would be a remarkable occasion and, if all goes to plan, he could add to a formidable midfield.
