The 2025 AFL Draft Top 40 power rankings for JUne

The AFL under-18 national carnival is set to explode this weekend as recruiters flock to two big games around the country – and we know who they will be watching. See our June top 40 here.

Mid-season draftees react to making their dreams come true

Recruiters describe this year’s AFL national draft as a touch “messy”.

The top 40 picks in November could include at least 15 club-linked players as a stack of academy and father-son prospects create a very compromised draft pool.

The Gold Coast Suns have a raft of talented youngsters available to them through their Academy, including Zeke Uwland, Dylan Patterson, Beau Addinsall and Koby Coulson.

Brisbane Lions Academy member Daniel Annable should attract a top-five bid, while Sydney Swans Academy pair Max King and Lachie Carmichael are both highly-rated.

Collingwood has access to father-son Thomas McGuane along with Next Generation Academy duo Zac McCarthy and Jai Saxena, while Essendon has priority access to two NGA members of its own in Hussien El Achkar and Adam Sweid.

Carlton has another father-son on the way in emerging defender Harry Dean, while West Coast has access to forward Wesley Walley and Fremantle can match a bid on midfielder Toby Whan.

However, there are still plenty of young stars who are not linked to clubs.

Here is an early look at the top 40 prospects for 2025 as the under-18 national championships get into full swing.
