DEFENDER Alex Silvagni will fill the hole left by Zac Dawson in Fremantle’s backline for tomorrow’s clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.
Silvagni didn’t fly with the main squad of 23 yesterday, but was named in a back pocket when teams were released this afternoon and will line up alongside Michael Johnson, who flew late after attending to a personal matter.
Garrick Ibbotson and Lachie Neale were the other inclusions for Fremantle, who will have to work hard to fill the holes left by Michael Barlow (knee) and suspended duo Nat Fyfe and Zac Dawson.
The Hawks suffered a blow of their own with skipper Luke Hodge ruled out, but former skipper Sam Mitchell returns to the fray after missing last week’s narrow win over Essendon.
Meanwhile, West Coast youngster Brant Colledge will make his AFL debut after replacing the injured Shannon Hurn as the sole change in the Eagles’ line-up.
Colledge, 19, impressed with 23 touches in his Round 1 appearance for East Perth before travelling to Melbourne as an emergency last week as the Eagles beat the Demons.
