High-profile defector Bri Davey believes she could be fit to take on the side she captained for two years after dodging serious injury in her first victory for new side Collingwood.
Davey swapped from Carlton to the Pies over the off-season in a move that left noses out of joint at Ikon Park given her leading role at the foundation club.
On Sunday, in Collingwood’s first Round 1 win in four years of AFLW football, she fell heavily in a marking contest and was writhing on the ground in pain.

Thankfully she was eventually diagnosed with a kick to the shin that will need scans this week to clear her of any bone damage.
Two years ago to the day she tore her right ACL against GWS while playing for the Blues.
But she told the Herald Sun post-match that given she could already bear weight on the left leg she might have avoided a long-term injury.
That could set up a clash against the Blues and a rowdy reception at Ikon Park next Sunday, but Davey is prepared for whatever reception she receives.

AFLW has growing pains but patience is needed after rapid expansion
“When the contest happened it was just a bad spot on the shin. I went down and was a bit sore but in my head I knew it wasn’t my knee so that was good and I knew it was my ankle, so it was just a bad whack. We don’t exactly what it is, it’s a bit swollen so we will get some scans and go from there.
“I knew straight away it wasn’t and two years ago when I did do it I knew it was. So I was pretty confident but last time I was in a bit of pain. I am weight bearing at the moment so we will see how we go through the week.”
Collingwood eventually handed over a first, second and third-round pick for the AFLW star after she requested a trade only days after sharing the Blues best-and-fairest with Maddy Prespakis.
“Yeah, the old team….” Davey said.
“I have got a lot of great mates in that group and played with most of them for three years. There could be a little banter on the field but hopefully there is jokey intent behind it rather than nasty but I wouldn’t expect it. If it happened it happened.
“ I have been loving it here and that guys are amazing. I got that welcoming vibe straight away. I was just stoked we got the win.
“To start the season on thigh foot and hopefully next week when go forward and play Carlton we can give them a good battle as well.”
