Do you want a couple of star goalkickers to pivot an entire attack around?
Or a fleet of smaller types who can all be dangerous at any given time?
Fortunately for Chris Fagan, he has both.
The Brisbane Lions have been the AFL’s premier attack for the past three seasons thanks to a near-perfect combination of size and smarts.
When you have Charlie Cameron, Joe Daniher, Eric Hipwood, Zac Bailey, Cam Rayner and Lincoln McCarthy upfront, there is little hope for defences to match up.
As our footy writers sat down to pick the best group of forwards in the competition, it was the Lions who won out.
Each of our experts ranked the teams and allocated votes for each squad.
Brisbane drew a full 18 votes from all six of our experts in our goalkickers tally, leaving a perfect score of 108 from six voters.
It was a top mark for Fagan’s team as they look to power their way to go one better in 2024 and snare a breakthrough flag.
Our voters were in behind Adelaide and Carlton, while Essendon, Fremantle and West Coast were among sides to not fare well.
Check out where your team ranks in our ongoing series rating each third of the ground.
