A WOMAN has been punched in the face as she slept at her home north of Sydney.
The 39-year-old victim had been out with friends last night and returned to her home in Emerald Street, Narrabeen, about 11pm.
Just after 1am she woke when a man repeatedly punched her in the face.
Police say she screamed and her assailant fled.
She was taken to Mona Vale Hospital suffering from facial cuts, swelling and bruising.
Police have appealed for help tracing the attacker.
