How has this become official police business?

A PHOTO on the official NSW Police Facebook page shows uniformed officers with a group in bondage gear at Mardi Gras. It’s yet another sign PC authoritarians are taking over, writes Miranda Devine.

NSW police happy with Mardi Gras behavior

IT used to be that if a police officer brought the uniform into disrepute, he or she would be in big trouble.

These days, it seems, anything goes.

The official NSW Police Facebook page boasts a most peculiar photograph taken at 11.36 on Mardi Gras night last Saturday, with a kneeling male officer in uniform surrounded by a group of males dressed up in lurid dog masks and black leather bondage gear. This is not a new-look K-9 unit but apparently the costume for a particular sadomasochistic fetish known as “pup play”.
Don’t ask.

Seriously, no one cares what you do on your own time, but why embarrass the entire police force by wearing your uniform while making a pup of yourself?

Sadly, like every other Australian organisation in the public and private sector, NSW Police Force has been infested by diversity mavens who are paid not to fight crime, but to tie up frontline police in minefields of politically correct blandishments, organise International Women’s Day breakfasts for top brass to display their neo-feminist credentials and direct police to march in uniform in the Mardi Gras parade to show their commitment to the LGBTIQ lifestyle. They replace old taboos with their own made-up ones which make no sense other than to entrench their power.

No one dare push back for fear of being labelled deplorable and being crossed off the promotions list.

So the PC authoritarians remain blissfully unchallenged as they sap morale and bring the force into disrepute by endorsing questionable photos as official police business. Such unthinking acquiescence to a sinister hidden agenda is exactly what has turned Victoria’s police “service” into the crime fighting behemoth it is not.

Surely Police Minister Troy Grant and Commissioner Mick Fuller won’t stand for it.

AND in other Mardi Gras news, Malcolm Turnbull kicked an own goal last weekend when he posed for a selfie with the parade’s celebrity guest Cher, piling insult upon insult for his party’s already tetchy conservative base. But just like wearing two purple ribbons on Friday for International Women’s Day didn’t have the desired effect, neither did sucking up to Sonny’s other half.

In response to a claim by an obscure Twitter leftie — if that isn’t an oxymoron — that Turnbull was a Trumpian fascist, torturer of refugees and concentration camp proprietor, Cher dropped the Prime Minister like a hot potato. That’s what happens when you hitch your star to vacuous celebrities to try to burnish your woke credentials.

You end up with no friends at all.
