THE Gold Coast penthouse which was once the home of motorsports legend Sir Jack Brabham will go to auction this weekend, nearly a decade after his death.

The three-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse in Runaway Bay’s Bayview Tower has not been on the market for more than 20 years.

The 728sq m two-storey penthouse has its own rooftop pool and entertaining area, with its bedrooms have views over the Broadwater and the Hinterland.

Real estate agent Barbara Posch from Lucy Cole Prestige Properties said it was a “rare jewel”.

“With its private rooftop pool and uninterrupted views of the ocean, the city and the hinterland, this is a property that is sure to impress all your family and friends,’’ she said.

“It has such a practical layout that it could be suited to large families looking for Gold Coast getaway or it could be permanent address for couples looking to downsize from a substantial home.”
