Miranda Devine: Democrats’ coronavirus attacks are a new low
Instead of helping Americans through a global crisis, Democrats have decided to take blows at President Trump’s efforts. The timing couldn’t be worse, or more predictable, writes Miranda Devine.

Politics doesn’t get more despicable than Nancy Pelosi blaming President Trump for America’s coronavirus deaths, as she did on Sunday.
“His denial at the beginning was deadly,” the Democrats’ House Speaker told CNN. “His delay in getting equipment to where … it’s needed is deadly. When did the president know about this and what did he know? … As the President fiddles people are dying”.
No, people are dying because the communist Chinese government lied about the origins and spread of the virus from Wuhan.
By contrast, the President’s decision in January to stop flights from China and quarantine passengers was credited by Dr Anthony Fauci as crucial to delaying the spread of the virus.
Yet Trump was derided by Joe Biden at the time as a “xenophobe”, and, when Trump banned flights from Europe, Biden tweeted: “A wall will not stop the coronavirus.”
No wonder Biden, the putative Democratic candidate for President, has slipped in the latest opinion polls.
Saving Biden is why Democrats and their media lapdogs are desperate to pin the pandemic on the President, including with the inflammatory claim that he wants to “euthanize” senior citizens to save Boeing.
It’s why Pelosi scraped the bottom of the barrel Sunday. During the interview she said “I don’t know” four times in 30 seconds.
That’s the only thing she got right.

President Trump was absolutely right to say that the US government would not pay for security for the wayfaring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle now that they have decided to again change countries. The multi million dollar annual security bill has been a bone of contention inCanada since they quit the royal family and moved to a secluded compound on Vancouver Island.
Now the Megxiteers reportedly are going to quit Canada for Los Angeles, where Meghan can be an A-lister and pursue a Hollywood career.
On Sunday, President Trump tweeted that his government won’t foot the hefty security bill for the jet setting pair and their baby Archie.
“I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”
The couple then retorted through a spokesperson for Meghan that they “have no plans to ask the U.S. government for security resources. Privately funded security arrangements have been made.”
Good to hear.
