Following in the footsteps of Penrith Panthers Jamal Idris and Will Smith, three young stars have been chosen for the 2015 NSW Indigenous under-16s squad.
Zac Nuttial, Learoy Brown and Luke Rosworne were named in the squad to play the Queensland Murri under-16s in one of the curtain raisers to the NRL and Indigenous All Stars clash on the Gold Coast in February.
NSWRL indigenous programs officer Steve Hall said this was a fantastic opportunity for talented players who performed exceptionally at a recent training camp at Narrabeen.

“Out of 70 from the camp we picked 20 to go up to Queensland,” Hall said.
“The camp was all about the whole package, not only about their footy, but how they act off the field.”
The 15-year-olds said the camp helped with their skills, how to play as a team, and showing respect.
“I was pretty overwhelmed when I got picked for the squad,” Zac, from Cranebrook, said.
Learoy, from Kingswood, said it felt surreal when he was picked for the squad and he could not wait to meet his heroes.
“I’m looking forward to the presentation night because we get our jerseys from the opposite number in the indigenous All-Stars team and get to meet them.”
Luke, from Cranebrook, will join the others in the train on squad and is looking forward to a good, hard game.
“They’ll come back into camp the week of the game to prepare for what promises to be another tough match against the Queensland Murri side,” Steve Hall said.
“It’s a great chance for them to experience rugby league at an elite level after showing tremendous potential in their local competitions all around the State.”
