FIRST grade NRL referees joined Blacktown City Cricket Club to raise more than $3000 for the McGrath Foundation last month.
Referees Shane Hayne, Jared Maxwell and Dave Munro played for Pink Stumps Day at Laybutt Reserve, Blacktown.
With 266 to win, Blacktown could only manage 200 runs.
"The day was amazing for everyone involved," Blacktown City president Brett McDonald said.
"We hope to raise more money for the foundation next year."
More than $430,000 was raised at all Pink Stumps Day events across the country and spokesman Glenn McGrath, whose first wife Jane died of breast cancer, praised the level of support. The events have raised more than $1.3 million in the past two years.
