Adani Group chief financial officer ‘Robbie’ Jugeshinder Singh has set the stage for a multimillion-dollar transformation of his Bellevue Hill residence “Rothesay”.

Singh, along with his hedge fund sales consultant wife Marijana Domazet, submitted a detailed proposal to Woollahra Council on Wednesday, outlining plans for a renovation of the entire house, including maintenance, a swimming pool, and landscaping.

According to the cost analysis, an extravagant $27 million budget would transform every nook and cranny into a haven of indulgence.

There is a jaw-dropping $140,000 allocated for a lavish swimming pool, $35,000 earmarked for a decadent sauna experience, a lofty $2.4m reserved for a chic new roof, and $67,000 devoted to crafting an opulent fireplace.

Included in the makeover is an eye-watering $1.8m on external doors and windows, while about $2m is being spent on services like plumbing ($589,190), electrical works ($599,990), light fittings ($375,000) and heating ($109,770).

About $3.9m will be spent on finishes like wet areas ($412,874), sanitary fittings ($191,075), paintings ($155,325), ceiling ($403,512), and floor finishes ($1.2m) and $259,600 on doors are also projected in the costs.

The couple purchased the five-bedroom, six-bathroom circa 1896 Victorian Italianate villa on a 2000 square-metre property for a hefty $37m in 2022.

The proposed changes, outlined in a comprehensive document, seek consent for demolition, excavation for a new basement/lower level, construction of a podium level and west wing addition and landscaping.

Plans include basement parking and storage, a podium level with a green roof, and a two-storey west wing. The alterations aim to accentuate the existing heritage of Rothesay.

The proposal also involves the removal of 20 trees, but 20 more would be planted along the site perimeter.

Changes to fencing include a shift from chain wire to concrete and timber.

The project would include significant demolition.
