Two buses have collided in Sydney’s CBD, causing one man to be freed and two people were taken to hospital.

Paramedics responded to an incident on Oxford St, near Flinders St, about 9.05am after reports a bus collided with a stationary bus.

NSW Ambulance inspector Mick Corlis said one of the drivers was “trapped for a short time” with everyone on board able to get out.

“Police Rescue was able to free the man before paramedics assessed and treated him for minor injuries,” he said.

“Two passengers were also treated for minor injuries and taken to hospital, while another two were assessed at the scene but weren’t taken to hospital.”

The bus driver was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and one passenger was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Both were in a stable condition.

A NSW Police spokeswoman said officers responded to the incident, with the buses now towed away and the streets cleared.
