An Insta-worthy club and restaurant in Sydney’s eastern suburbs — known for its bottomless brunches and wide selection of seafood — has closed its doors as liquidators are appointed.
The Pacific Club Bondi Beach is the latest restaurant to fall into the hand of liquidators, with management thanking loyal customers.
“After four up and down years of hospitality during a pandemic ... The Pacific Club has made the decision to close its doors,” representatives said in a post on Instagram last month.
“Obviously, the last couple of years have been an incredibly tough time for our industry, and while we truly appreciate the support and loyalty of our local community, the difficult trading conditions in our little beach suburb have been a major factor in sustaining a high street business.
“We hope that we became an important part of our community’s restaurant story as we initially set out to achieve and want to offer a heartfelt thanks to our incredible team, both past and present, who have created so many unique dining experiences for our loyal guests.”
Patrons of the popular drinks and dining hub said it was “heartbreaking” and “such sad news” in tributes online.
The Pacific Club Bondi Beach opened on Campbell Pde in September 2018.
Liquidator Chrstian Sprowles of Hogan Sprowles will oversee the winding up of the business.
Mr Sprowles was contacted for comment.
