A Sydney high school tutor suspected of doubling as a dial-a-dealer could be facing a jail sentence after he was caught with 14 bags of cocaine and $500 in his underwear.

Quentin Geczy was blasted by Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to drug supply and dealing with property – proceeds of crime.

Police facts state the 27-year-old was driving a black Ford Ranger around Bondi Beach on the evening of June 8 when they spotted a man enter his car before being dropped off 20 seconds later nearby.

Police suspected the behaviour to be related to a dial a dealer transaction and stopped the car on Campbell Pde.

Officers spoke with the man who had exited the car and found two clear resealable bags on the ground where he had stopped.

Police later searched Geczy’s car where facts indicate he was unable to provide a reason why the man had entered and exited “within a number of seconds”.

Geczy later said it was his mate, however, did not provide the man’s name.

Police found $800 in Geczy’s car and he told police he worked as a tutor and was paid in cash.

While no further items were found in his car or during a general search, police informed Geczy he was to be subjected to a strip search.

Once in the caged police car, he refused to be searched and was arrested before being taken to Waverley police station.

He was then subjected to a strip search where 14 clear resealable bags of cocaine were found in his underwear along with $500.

Geczy’s lawyer who was representing Hanna Legal submitted the guilty pleas on behalf of her client.

Ms Milledge ordered a sentencing assessment report, which helps a court decide on an appropriate sentence, saying Geczy was “looking at a jail term”.

“I warn you whatever they suggest to you … you grab it with both hands,” she said.

“Drug supply is such an awful scourge [on this community] … you ought to be ashamed of yourself.”

The matter will return to court in September.
