Police appeal to the public to locate wanted French national

Police are launching a public appeal in a bid to apprehend a French national they allege committed a break and enter offence while on an expired visa.

A French national who frequents the eastern suburbs is the subject of a police manhunt over an alleged assault and an aggravated break and enter offence.

Police have issued a warrant against Max Herve Janvier, 23, who is believed to have been living in Sydney on a visa that has since expired.

Janvier is described as being of African appearance, about 170cm tall, of thin build with black hair.

Police say he is known to visit the areas of Bondi, Randwick and the CBD — appealing to the public for help in a bid to locate Janvier.
