Peter Rabbit and his famous Hollywood friends are coming to one of Woollahra’s main streets next week.

But his presence will eat up parking spots along Queen St for three days as crews shoot for upcoming children’s film Peter Rabbit 2.

All parking spaces will be barricaded off on Queen St between Ocean and Nelson streets from 6am on Sunday to prepare for the filming on Monday and Tuesday.

In a letter sent out to residents by PR Productions, it was revealed filming would take place inside and outside of the English Tapware Company store at 170 Queen St.

Crews will also be shooting scenes in adjacent Kilminster Lane. Filming is scheduled to take place between 5am and 8pm on Monday and Tuesday.

“The Australian film and TV industry relies heavily on the support of the community whenever we film on location. We are extremely grateful for your patience and consideration, as without the support of the public what we do wouldn't be possible,” the letter to residents stated.

Traffic control will be active during filming in an attempt to minimise delays.

Access to Pickering Lane will only be available via Forth and Nelson streets.

The live-action and CGI hybrid film set to be released in 2020 stars Australian’s Rose Byrne and Domhnall Gleeson, known for his work in the Harry Potter and Star Wars franchises.

British actor and comedian James Corden, of Carpool Karaoke fame, will voice the title character.

Woollahra Council has given the filming its blessing.
