Oxford St: David Charles Massa, of San Souci, pleads not guilty to sexual intercourse without consent

A southern Sydney man will stand trial to fight allegations he raped a fellow Oxford St clubgoer in the early hours of the morning.

A South Sydney man is facing multiple charges of sexual assault, alleged to have occurred at an Oxford St nightclub.

David Charles Massa, 47, faced Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday where he pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and two counts of sexually touch another person without consent.

Two previous charges of sexually touch another person were withdrawn.

Massa, from San Souci, allegedly met a man on June 1 inside a Darlinghurst nightclub on Oxford St, with both men previously unknown to one another.

It will be alleged Massa sexually touched the man without his consent between midnight and 2am, while the intercourse is alleged to have occurred just before 2am.

Nearly two months later on July 27, Massa turned himself in to Kings Cross Police Station where he was arrested and taken into custody.

He faced Parramatta Bail Court the same day where he was granted strict conditional bail.

As part of his bail conditions Massa must report to Kogarah Police Station and undergo drug and alcohol testing three times a week.

He will remain on bail and face Downing Centre District Court for arraignment on May 9.
