Olivia Lamb, who lives in Rose Bay, pleaded guilty to drug possession at Waverley Local Court.

According to agreed facs, she was seen by police withdrawing cash outside Beach Road Hotel in Bondi Beach about 5pm on August 6.

The 26-year-old was with a woman known to police.

The pair then looked up and down on their phones before walking down Glasgow Ave, where Lamb got into a white Mazda. She hopped out 30 seconds later.

When police approached her, she admitted she’d bought a bag of cocaine for $250. The amount she had on her was later confirmed by testing to be 0.6g, including packaging.

Waverley Local Court heard Lamb gained a bachelor degree in international relations before studying a master of commerce and climbing up the marketing ladder.

The court heard she is currently a performance executive at Cartology Marketing Group, which is part of the Woolworths Group.

Magistrate Ross Hudson said the case of a successful person doing drugs was common in the court.

“Another professional … but if you want to be professional in the community, it’s 24/7. I know the impact on your professional career is a factor (in not wanting a conviction),” he said.

“She has no criminal record. She’s spoken of highly of by her sister, Charlotte Lamb, who speaks of her social anxiety. She has expressed an apology and deep regret.”

Magistrate Hudson chose not to convict Lamb of drug possession, instead sentencing her to a 12-month conditional release order where she must be on good behaviour.
