Two men from Sydney’s eastern suburbs including the owner of an acupuncture clinic have come clean about their large-scale supply of MDMA.
Noam Field, 40, from Dover Heights, and Oscar Louis Rosenberg, 31, from Bondi Beach, both pleaded guilty on Thursday to supplying 1.5kg of MDMA at Bondi between March and July 2020.
Field also pleaded guilty to dealing with $470,000 in drug money uncovered by police and supplying a further 247g of cocaine.
Field was the owner of an acupuncture clinic in Kingsford called Wholistic Natural Medicine prior to his arrest in July last year.
“Strike Force Caladenia was established ... to investigate Oscar Rosenberg, Noam Field and associates in the involvement in the supply of prohibited drugs,” the agreed facts stated.
“Rosenberg and Field acted as a joint criminal enterprise with Field sourcing prohibited drugs for Rosenberg to supply.”
The agreed facts stated after Rosenberg supplied MDMA to one person in March 2020 he told the witness “ketamine, that’s my main thing, but I can get my hands on anything pretty quick, coke, MD”.
Field and Rosenberg both beamed into Central Local Court via video link from prison on Thursday.
Field entered pleas of guilty to three charges including supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), deal with proceeds of crime, and supply prohibited drug.
Six further charges were included as a Form 1 for his sentence date while the remainder of his charges were dismissed.
Meanwhile, a heavily-tattooed Rosenberg pleaded guilty to two charges including supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity). A further 16 charges were dismissed.
The pair will be sentenced in the NSW District Court with their next court date set for April 9.
They both remain in custody on remand.
Strike Force Caladenia netted a staggering 16 arrests in July last year across Sydney’s inner suburbs.
