A former reality TV contestant and ex-NRL cheerleader has been charged after police allegedly found her in possession of someone else’s bank cards.

Jordan Finlayson first soared into public consciousness as a beauty on the feel-good reality TV sensation Beauty and the Geek, and once shook her pompoms on the sidelines for the Cronulla Sharks.

The 32-year-old Zetland woman took to a far less auspicious stage on Tuesday when she faced court charged with possessing unlawfully obtained goods.

In documents tendered to Downing Centre Local Court, police allege Finlayson was stopped at 2.50am on July 2 at Rushcutters Bay and found with two National Australia Bank Visa cards and a Medicare card in a different person’s name.

Police allege these items may be reasonably suspected to be stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained.

Finlayson appeared briefly before Magistrate Theo Tsavdarides at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday, where her matter was adjourned until August 15.

She is yet to enter a plea to the charge.

Finlayson also once modelled for a Penthouse magazine centrefold and previously worked as a glamour model, showgirl and entertainer.
