WELCOME to a brand new view of Supercoach, what we’re calling “Supercoach Local: The Battle of the Postcodes”.

After Round 1 of the AFL season, 210 teams have registered in Wentworth Courier’s area, part of the 184,000-strong national competition so far this year.

Johno's Thugs is leading the local campaign after a gripping AFL season kick-off which saw Richmond, Geelong, Port Adelaide, Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs, Brisbane, St Kilda, GWS and Fremantle all start the season with a win.

Top local supercoach Paul from postcode 2024, which covers suburbs including Waverley, Bronte and Charing Cross, scored 2253 points and is ranked 847th nationally, 145 behind the Supercoach leader Wal13Freo from postcode 3464 in Victoria's Central Goldfields, west of Bendigo.

A total of 97 Supercoach points separate first position and tenth position in Wentworth Courier’s competition.

The median score for all teams nationally was 1936 this week.
