Hesan Soufi: Bondi Junction man pleads guilty to sexual touching

A boozy birthday bash at a Bondi Junction penthouse turned dark when the man of the moment ripped his clothes off and took advantage of a drunk woman, described as “out of it”, in a bedroom.

An eastern suburbs man will learn his fate for sexually touching a sleeping woman without consent at a party in a Bondi Junction penthouse.

Hesan Soufi, 21, twice sexually touched without consent a woman at his 20th birthday bash in his Meriton Suites Bondi Junction penthouse last April, as a boozy night turned dark.

Soufi was found half naked on top of a girl who court documents described as “out of it”.

The documents revealed during the boozy birthday, Soufi entered into a room that an intoxicated, then-sleeping girl was in and was found by other partygoers on top of the person.

The victim was on her stomach, face down and facing away from the door with her underwear around her knees. Soufi was totally naked kneeling over her on the bed. His erect penis was visible between the girl’s legs.

Hesan Soufi, 21, was committed for sentencing for two charges of sexual touching.

When one of the partygoers called the girl’s name three times, she didn’t respond, and only mumbled a “hmmm” after being tapped multiple times.

Soufi is charged with two sequences of sexually touching, the second instance coming that same night, with the same victim, in the same room.

Court documents show the girl came to and told Soufi: “we’re not f**king”. Soufi then laid partially over the victim and his trousers were heard being unzipped before he said: “it’s fine baby”.

The girl, who due to being underneath Soufi and intoxicated, couldn’t push him off and began to cry, pleading to let her up, court documents said. She felt Soufi’s erect penis thrust between her legs and cried: “please stop, get off me”.

The following day, mobile and social media messages were exchanged between Soufi and another partygoer present.

“I’m actually a good guy okay,” one message by Soufi read.

“I was very disrespectful but I was f**ked and it probably won’t ever happen again.”

The court documents also include messages sent on the morning after the incident from Soufi to the victim.

“I don’t remember any of it,” one message read. “Clearly a lot of sh*t happened and I’m sorry.”

Soufi was arrested in July 2021 and this month pleaded guilty to two counts of sexually touching without consent and will be sentenced in the District Court at a later date.
