Get the perfect look for those Zoom, Facetime video meetings
When it comes to looking your best on Zoom it helps to keep things simple. Beauty guru Kelly Baker shares three quick and easy solutions to help you glow through that screen.

I’ve been a beauty editor for a fair chunk of my career and after years in the business I can apply a full face in less than five minutes flat.
That’s a skill set that has come in handy during these distinctly unusual times when my schedule is out the window and I am being hit up to join video chats several times a day and generally with very little notice.
When my boss asks me to video call him or a prospective date dials in, I know I need to look somewhat put-together at the very least and genuinely glowing if at all possible.
Here’s how I make that happen. And how you can too.
Cheeks and Lips
Products that can be used for more than one purpose are my go-to for when I have literally seconds before answering a video call. I love a coloured lip balm that provides a flattering pretty look to my pout and can also be daubed on the cheeks for a soft, shimmery glow.
I love a lipstick and cheek brush. But if I’m super pressed for time I apply with a fingertip and blend instead.
For lips apply along the mouth and then press into the skin. This provides a rich, stained look. For cheeks blend gently in an upward and outward motion. Try Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lip & Cheeks.
Pretty Ponies
A ponytail is the ultimate way to get unruly hair under control. The trick is to make it look polished and sophisticated, rather than, well, slack.
Do this by creating a little volume at the crown by teasing with a bristle brush. Next, gather hair at the nape of the neck and tie it with a non-pull elastic, says award-winning stylist Anthony Nader, of RAW Hair in Darlinghurst.
For that ‘I went the extra mile effect’ separate a small section out from the ponytail. Twirl it from root to end and then wrap around the base of the ponytail to cover the elastic. Hold tight with a Bobbi pin.
Concealer Only
Foundation is awesome if you have the time. But if you’re in a serious rush it’s easy to get it wrong and frankly — bare skin is better than poorly-applied makeup that everyone can see. And yes – your digital friends see much more than you imagine. More than they might during a face-to-face meeting, so any missed patches or bad blending will be there for all to see. Ensure that doesn’t happen by skipping tricky foundation altogether and instead applying a concealer only. Revlon Photoready Concealer is perfect for smooth, flawless digital-ready skin.
Pop it under the eyes (a creamy yellow works best here), into the very inner corners of the eyes near the bridge of the nose, around the nostrils and chin area plus any red areas or teeny flaws.
