An eastern suburbs woman with what appeared to be a $10,000 Chanel bag on her arm at court has indicated she will fight allegations she threatened a woman with a weapon and stole her iPhone.

Elizabeth Jackson, 36, has been charged with using an offensive weapon to intimidate, common assault, and larceny after an alleged incident at Bondi Junction on August 25.

She has pleaded not guilty to all three offences.

Police allege Jackson used an offensive weapon to intimidate a woman between 10.50pm on August 25 and 1.30am on August 26.

The weapon alleged to have been used was not identified in documents tendered to Waverley Local Court.

The documents state Jackson is further alleged to have assaulted the woman and stolen her purple iPhone.

Jackson appeared with her lawyer before Magistrate Ross Hudson on Wednesday after she was previously convicted of the offences in her absence due to a misunderstanding about when she was due to face court in November, which led to a charge of failing to appear.

Mr Hudson granted an annulment application, which will now permit Jackson to fight the charges at a hearing in the Local Court.

A hearing date will be determined on April 5 after a brief of evidence is served on Jackson’s solicitor.

Jackson was also found guilty in her absence of larceny in respect of an unrelated incident in November 2021.

Court documents state on November 10, 2021 Jackson stole a medium-sized black raglan sleeve sweater valued at $499 from the Camilla boutique at Westfield Bondi Junction.

The theft prompted a brief foot chase with a staff member before the item was found abandoned in the street.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV from the boutique and the shopping centre.

That matter is set for sentence at a date to be determined and will be mentioned alongside Jackson’s 2022 matters at Waverley Local Court on April 5.

When she attended court, Jackson appeared to be carrying an eye-catching Chanel medium double flap bag, which retails for about $10,000.
