David Kulike: Sydney man charged with financial fraud

A Sydney man has fronted court on charges of fraud, with police alleging he used another man’s credit card details.

A man allegedly swindled nearly a grand from an unsuspecting victim’s credit card over the course of several months before being arrested and charged.

The accused man, David Kulike appeared with his lawyer Samuel Shenouda to face the charge of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old Sydney man did not enter a plea.

Police allege between September 9 and December 5 at Bondi Junction the man fraudulently used credit card details belonging to Matthew Lakeman which caused him financial disadvantage.

According to documents tendered to the court, Kulike obtained $787.87 from Mr Lakeman’s credit card.

The matter will return to court on August 29.
