The return of Bunnings to the eastern suburbs has been a long wait for some residents.
When the Rose Bay store closed in 2014 after its lease on Old South Head Rd expired, locals lamented the lack of options, but now the hardware giant has ended months of speculation about when it will return after the buzz of construction and signage became a hot topic for locals.
Store manager Dean Watt revealed it now expects to open within weeks.
“The store team and I are so looking forward to opening the doors on the new Bunnings Rose Bay early next month,” he said.
“With the finishing touches underway we’re excited to once again offer the Rose Bay community a great range of home improvement and outdoor living products backed by the best service.”
More than 30 staff will be on hand to throw open the doors for its official opening.
In the meantime, they have been keeping busy in the local community.
“Team members have already been busy working to assist with local community projects including a children’s vegetable garden bed at Rose Bay Community Garden,” Mr Watt said.
