FOR one glorious year, a young Anna Heinrich got to share her school experience as a boarder at Ascham with her two sisters.

The girls, who had enjoyed an idyllic childhood in Goulburn, were reunited when older sister Andrea and Anna welcomed their younger sister Charlotte to the Edgecliff school — and the trio became day girls when their parents moved from the country to an apartment in Paddington.

“My mum moved up for us and we became day girls,” Anna tells the Wentworth Courier.

“My dad still lives in Goulburn. Well, he doesn’t like to say he lives in Goulburn, he says he lives in Sydney.

“They bought a place on Moore Park Rd and they’ve had that place for about 10 years now, but even when we were living in Goulburn, we used to the commute back and forth every weekend, and we had an apartment in Paddington in Cook Rd initially.”

The 29-year-old shot to fame when she stole the heart of Tim Robards on Australia’s first season of The Bachelor in 2013. The pair are now regulars on the red carpet and Anna has amassed an enormous social media following.

At last count, she has 261,000 followers on Instagram and 27,044 on Facebook, where she documents everything from her relationship with Tim to luxury holidays, chic fashion and fun with equally glamorous friends.

She also featured on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, filmed in 2015 in the South African jungle, where she famously cried when Tim left the show and tiffed with ex-Sydney Swan Barry Hall.

Anna also has a popular blog, Love Always Anna Heinrich, where she highlights the latest fashion and decor trends, offers tips and advice on attending big social events and what birthdays and Christmas gifts to buy.

There’s also Ask Anna, where you can write in and ask her anything about life, love and the world.

She is signed with Chic Management in Woollahra, who represent the likes of Alyssa Sutherland, Catherine McNeil, Cheyenne Tozzi, Holly Rose, Jemma Baines, Maddison Brown, Nicole Pollard, Pania Rose and Samantha Harris.

Anna and Tim are also building a property portfolio with a recent purchase in Queensland.

While Anna has many fingers in many pies, the defence lawyer and fitness enthusiast says having a strong family focus has been a tremendous support during her meteoric rise.

“All my extended family are all from Sydney and my grandma lives two streets down from me now — she’s 92 and we call her Nagy — that’s ‘grandma’ in Hungarian,” says Anna. “She’s so cute, she’s really short and she’s so adorable.

“My dad’s up every weekend and sometimes he’s up during the week if he has got work up here and all my aunties and cousins, they all live, most of them live around the eastern suburbs, one in Balmain, but a majority of them are around here.

“There’s not really too much in Goulburn for us. I don’t go back to Goulburn to visit any friends. All my friends are in Sydney now.

“Now I’m at the top of Bondi Rd and I’ve kind of got a new life there. I was just at my mum’s about 10 minutes ago so I’m constantly over there for dinner.

“It’s quite good because everyone is so close. It takes about five, max 10 minutes’ drive to my mum’s and a 10-minute walk to my grandma’s.”

The romance between Anna and Tim has played out very publicly in the media, and with that comes the intense scrutiny and speculation about when they will get engaged and if they are or aren’t splitting up.

“There has been that pressure since we got together,” Anna says of her first and only boyfriend.

“Tim is an amazing guy — he’s so driven and has such a great attitude. He’s really inspiring.”

When having some down time around the eastern suburbs, Anna and Tim enjoy nothing more than sitting in cafes (she’s a regular at AboutLife in Bondi Junction and nominates the super hash paleo breakfast as her favourite meal), walking and spending time at the beach.

“Also just down the road from us on Bondi Rd is a place called Dairy — it’s run by a guy who used to work at Indigo at Double Bay — another place I love — and he’s opened up his own place and I love it,” Anna says.

“It’s in walking distance and I’m always there and my partner is always there.

“We also love Trio in Bondi. It’s so good and the coffee is amazing and the food is amazing, and Depot is another one that I love — it is all the way in North Bondi.”

Although there is a pool at Anna’s apartment building, she likes to hit Bondi Beach or Tamarama, (“I’ll go to Coogee sometimes too, Coogee’s nice”) and she has run the Bondi-to-Coogee stretch while preparing for a half marathon she did this year for Nike.

“I’d never done the Bondi-to-Coogee before,” she says. “It’s a really hard run, but it is amazing, although I did feel the burn around Gordons Bay pretty bad — up and down those stairs was really difficult.

“I love going for walks from our place down to Bondi and Bronte and back. It’s either with my partner or my friends. I’ve been recently walking with my mum around Centennial Park as well so I love all of those places.”

Anna is very close with her mother Jude and credits her for her positive attitude towards health and fitness.

Anna is a regular shopper at Westfield Bondi Junction, where, she admits, she can be found four or five times a week looking at, and keeping up with, the latest trends and styles, and building on her extensive wardrobe.

“I live in a place that has two bedrooms, but one of my bedrooms is basically all my clothes, so when people come to stay I need to be warned well in advance if someone is coming because it takes me a couple of days to clean that room,” she says.

“Tim’s parents came down the other day and they actually stayed with my mum because they have got a few spare rooms.”
