Plans for a $1.1 million single-storey childcare centre for Turvey Park have been revealed.
Bright Beginnings Early Learning Centre has lodged a development application for a 59-place childcare centre in Turvey Park with Wagga Council.
The chain already has an established centre in Temora and plans to expand over three empty lots at 97-101 Coleman Street.
Bright Beginnings Early Years Learning Centre owner Courtney Weir said she was very excited to be opening a second centre if the plans are approved.
“Through extensive marketing research, we have sound knowledge that there is a demand in child care, especially in this ideal central location and it has just ticked all the boxes,” Ms Weir said.
“We plan to establish a high-quality child care facility to help meet this demand, catering for children six weeks to five years of age.
“If plans are approved we will operate the centre much the same as our Temora location and we would hope to start construction immediately.”
Ms Weir said pending council approval, the facility would open 51 weeks of the year, closing for one week over the Christmas and News years period.
“We plan to operate from Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm, and we will provide all meals, nappies, bedding as well as extra-curricular activities; creating value in time and money for parents and caregivers in the region,” Ms Weir said.
“We will have four rooms in the building, we will also employ a full time chef who will provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea all provided.”
Bright Beginnings will provide a preschool program (including school readiness) which will also be offered to children from three to five years of age delivered by an early childhood teacher.
The estimated cost of the constriction of the centre is $1.1 million dollars.
