Police are seeking CCTV as part of a probe into two violent armed home invasions in the state’s south last month, in which one man was allegedly stabbed in the leg and struck with a firearm.
At about 2am on May 30, police responded to reports of a home invasion involving a trio of men – allegedly armed – at Quandong Ave in Tumut.
After forcing their way inside the home, one of the men who was armed with a gun, struck a 39-year-old-woman in the head, leg and arms, police allege.
At 9:30pm the following evening, police were contacted after a man presented to hospital suffering lacerations to his head and calf.
According to the 40-year-old man, three men armed with a knife and firearm forced their way into a home on Herbert St, before threatening, striking and stabbing him in the leg, police allege.
The trio fled then fled the scene, taking with them keys and a mobile phone.
Police believe both incidents are linked and have released CCTV of three men who they believe could assist with inquiries.
One man is described as being 180-185cm tall with a stocky build, wearing a distinctive dirt bike helmet, and backpack.
The second man is around the same height with a slim build, and wearing a balaclava, light coloured ‘TNT’ brand shoes, dark hoody and gloves.
The third male is also around 180-185cm tall, wearing a puffy yellow hi-vis jacket and face mask.
Police would also like to speak to a woman seen driving a Volkswagen Golf in the vicinity of Quandong Ave around the time of the incident, who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
Anyone with CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage or information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
