A southwest Sydney woman has allegedly defrauded tens of thousands of dollars from complainants across the state with court documents revealing one of the complainants was left more than $20,000 out of pocket.

Marram Mekhael, 26, appeared in Wagga Wagga Local Court earlier this month after being charged with more than a dozen fraud-related offences.

The charges include nine counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception, two counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception, knowingly dealing with crime proceeds, participating in a criminal group and two counts of dealing with identity information to commit an indictable offence.

Court documents state the offences took place in the first three months of 2024 with people and businesses affected in Sydney, the Hunter Valley, the Central Coast and the Riverina.

Between January 22 and 24, documents state, Mekhael defrauded someone in her home suburb of Fairfield for nearly $1050.

Around the same time she allegedly defrauded a woman in Rutherford north east of Newcastle of $17,000 and a woman in Manly of more than $9500.

The court documents state four of the charges involved allegations Mekhael used the details of a woman, without permission, to access a Latitude Financial Services account and purchase a Samsung tablet, two iPhone 15 Plus devices and Dyson vacuum cleaner from Harvey Norman in Wagga.
