Paul Irvine
Agency: Professionals Wagga
Properties sold: Over the past 12 month alone, Paul Irvine has sold 80 homes and over the past 30 years - a staggering 2000 sales plus for families buying both land and houses.
A real estate agent of 30 years, Paul Irvine said he pursued real estate after a family friend suggested it would be a good role for him.
“I was good with people and enjoyed the sales and negotiation side of things and I have never looked back on the decision,” Mr Irvine said.
He started his career as a young 19-year-old rookie agent, and has now progressed to becoming the sole director of the company.
Top Tip: “My top tip for a buyer is to research, learn and listen. There is a lot of narrative around real estate everywhere you turn - the pub, at the park or in your workplace.
“Be a sponge, take it all in and apply what you feel are the best bits to your own journey.”
Conny Blacklock
Agency: Kitson

Conny Blacklock began her career as a real estate agent because she loves homes and meeting people.
“I love meeting people and enjoy building relationships with them through their journey of either selling or buying.”
Ms Blacklock has worked as a real estate agent for five years and has been working at Kitson for the past three and a half years.
Over her career she has sold over 103 properties across the Wagga region.
Top Tip: “Have your finances sorted so that you are ready to go once you have found the right home.”
Adam Humbert
Agency: Kitson
Properties Sold: 85 properties sold over his two years in the game
Adam Hubert made the jump to the real estate industry two years ago after working in the automotive sales industry for 12 years.
“I enjoyed the pleasure of helping and dealing with people, and I felt real estate purchases were generally the most important purchase in somebody’s lifetime,” he said.
“I felt the transition into real estate was very fitting to my eagerness to help people achieve their goals.”
Mr Humbert told the Wagga News he jumped at the opportunity arose for him and his wife to work together and co-own and agency.
“The opportunity to join such a great agency and joining my wife who was already at the agency with the eventual plan of being the successors of the business which fortunately came true in May 2021, with Belinda and myself taking full ownership of the agency.
“I’m not what is normally perceived as a real estate agent, I am somewhat casual, approachable and generally like to have a good time and these are traits that are not usually recognised with a real estate agent,” Mr Humbert said.
Top Tip: “In the market right now, make sure your pre-approval is current and secondly stay close to your preferred agent so they know you are still actively looking.”
Mark Macarthur
Agency: Macarthur Real Estate
Properties sold: 20 properties sold this year
Mark Macarthur entered the real estate market two years ago but his family has been in real estate for more than 50 years.
Before his career in real estate, Mr Macarthur was in the Defence Force for over 20 years.
“I had numerous deployments overseas, I am a rugby tragic but love all sports in kind I have a wonderful supportive wife and our amazing daughters who keep me on my toes!
“I pursued a career in Real Estate as it provided me with an opportunity to engage with the community and the people that live in it,” Mr Macarthur said.
“When the opportunity came along to transition from the Defence Force and allow my family stability in one of the best posting locations I had been too, so I jumped at it.
Mr Mcarthur has sold twenty properties totalling over $5 million dollars.
Top Tips: “Have your finance in order, here today, but sold yesterday.”
Greg Chamberlain
Agency: Macarthur Realestate
Properties sold: Between 1500 – 2000
Greg Chamberlain has been in the game for 25 years and knew he always wanted to be a real estate agent from a very young age.
“My grandfather was a land developer, and my father was in real estate when I was a child and I was always intrigued that they were able to be a part of one of the biggest life decisions that people make,” he said.
“Seeing first hand the joy this job can bring, I jumped at the opportunity to follow in a family tradition.”
Mr Chamberlain was the previous owner and director of Elders Residential for eight years, then for WaggaRE for six years with his wife Larissa before WaggaRE merged with the Macarthur Real Estate Agency.
Prior to his career in real estate, Mr Chamberlain was passionate about the skies.
“I studied and completed a commercial pilot course and flew aerobatics prior to my real estate career.”
Mr Chamberlain said that at a guess he has sold properties totalling between $500,000,000 to $600,000,000 but the “true value for me is the enjoyment for both parties in a sale transaction.”
Top Tip: “In the current market, be wary of properties that are advertised with a price range.
