NAPLAN results: Top performing schools across Riverina region

Saint Mary MacKillop College and Verity Christian College are Riverina’s top performing NAPLAN schools in 2024.
An independent analysis of newly released 2024 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the year 5 and year 9 tests.
Verity Christian College, in Griffith, had the best primary results of any school in Riverina, scoring an average of 543.6.
Wagga Wagga Christian College in Wagga Wagga was the second best for the region with an average score of 527.6, while Tocumwal Public School in Tocumwal was the third best with an average score of 526.2.
The top performing secondary school was Saint Mary MacKillop College, in Wagga Wagga, where the average result was 606.8.
The Scots School in Albury was the second best for the region with an average score of 598.4, while Saint Mary MacKillop College Albury, in Jindera, was the third best with an average score of 594.2.
To determine how each school performed in 2024, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (year 5 or year 9) were combined and the average found.
Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.
The figures were independently compiled from the federal government’s MySchool website.
