Man charged after allegedly assaulting NSW Police officer at Albury
A man is accused of injuring a female police officer in the state’s south after he charged at her when she responded to a call about an alleged assault at a motel.

A man has been charged after allegedly assaulting a police officer at an Albury motel at the weekend.
About midnight on Saturday, police attended the Australia Park Motel on the corner of Ebden St and Wodonga Place following reports of an alleged assault.
Murray River Police District officers spoke to a 27-year-old man and woman at the scene where they allege the man ran at a female constable and knocked her onto the ground before he ran away.
A short chase allegedly followed and the man is accused of resisting arrest after OC spray was deployed.
He was taken to Albury Police Station, where he was charged with assaulting a police officer in the execution of duty causing actual bodily harm, hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty and contravening a prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic).
He was refused bail to appear in Albury Court on Monday.
The constable was taken to Albury Base Hospital for treatment of injuries.
