Leeton: Doctor charged with historical sexual assault

A country doctor accused of sexually assaulting his patient has been granted conditional bail ahead of his court appearance.
In January 2023, a female patient in her 20s, reported a male doctor allegedly sexually assaulted her during an appointment in Leeton in 2020.
Monaro Police District officers established an investigation.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 42-year-old man in Leeton on Wednesday.
He was taken to Leeton Police Station and charged with aggravated sexual assault – victim under authority of offender.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Leeton Local Court on October 15.
