Dean Street: Jacob James Hamilton in court after alleged Albury brawl
A young man allegedly kicked a police officer in the head during a wild fight in the middle of the street, leaving him with head injuries and fracturing bones in his face.

A man who knocked out a police officer out cold with a vicious kick to the head will remain in custody on remand.
Jacob James Hamilton, 20, appeared via video link at Albury Local Court from Junee Correctional Centre on Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted a police officer on Saturday druing a wild brawl on Dean St, Albury.
Officers from the Murray River Police District were conducting patrols when they observed two men in a physical alteration about 8.30pm.
Police officers intervened, arresting Joshua Goodwin, 20, on the ground when they were approached by Mr Hamilton, who police will allege kicked the officer in the face, rendering him unconscious.
The senior constable was taken to Albury Base Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition with head injuries and a facial fractures,
Mr Hamilton, of Wondonga, was arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a person with the intent to arrest.
He has not entered a plea on the assault charges and the matter was adjourned to Albury Local Court on November 30.
Mr Hamilton did not apply for bail and it was formally refused. He remains in custody on remand at Junee correctional centre.
Mr Goodwin was charged with affray and appeared before Wagga Local Court on Monday where he was granted conditional bail. He is due to appear back before Albury Local Court on October 12.
