Mr Moo had been eating and drinking in the main area of the hotel with four friends about 8.30pm on Sunday November 17.

Loo then came up to the Mr Moo while he was seated and grabbed his shirt before accusing him of taking his tools when they worked together as tilers two years ago, according to police documents tendered in court.

Loo said: “You have taken my tools in the past.”

“No I didn’t take your tools two years ago and not now,” Mr Moo replied.

Loo said: “I would not let you go today.”

The security guard then walked over to the two men and separated them but Loo continued accusing Mr Moo of stealing his tools.

Loo said: “Other people have also said you stole my tools.

“If you are not happy with something you should have come and taken me on rather than stealing.”

Loo was then taken outside by the security guard while Mr Moo and his friends remained inside.

Just before 9pm, the co-accused Danny Siew who Mr Moo had allegedly never met approached him, according to police fact sheets.

Siew who was wearing a black T-shirt and light brown shirts then allegedly asked Mr Moo to come outside with him.

“Follow me,” Siew allegedly said.

Mr Moo replied: “You have to guarantee I won’t be beaten by the other male as he was quite angry.”

“OK,” Siew replied.

The victim and Siew walked outside while a friend of Mr Moo’s also followed them to Hill St.

Loo then approached Mr Moo and punched him in the face before he and Siew allegedly grabbed him pushing him down the street near the back car park, according to police documents.

Loo then punched Mr Moo with a closed fist about three to four times to his face then the back of his head.

The victim then pushed Loo away before Siew allegedly started kicking and punching him in the back for about 10 seconds, according to police fact sheets.

Mr Moo then managed to get up and was running back towards the hotel with his friend when one of his shoes came off and he fell over.

He was then allegedly attacked by both Loo and Siew.

“The victim put his hands over his head to protect himself as he was on the ground. Both accused (allegedly) both hit the victim a number of times,” police documents read.

Mr Moo then got up and ran to the hotel with both accused following until the security guard separated them and called police.

The victim suffered lacerations to his forehead and marks to his neck, back and knee.

He was taken to Canterbury Hospital for treatment.

Pe Seong Loo, from Campsie, fronted Burwood Local Court today without a lawyer.

Loo, who communicated via a mandarin interpreter, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm.

Magistrate Stapleton told the court, “This is a serious matter.”

“You struck Mr Moo about the head and this and a combination with Mr Siew kicking the victim.

“I need to have a report about this case. I direct you to attend Burwood Community Corrections Office within seven days. I adjourn the case for six weeks to the March 5.”

“Will you be in Australia that day?” the magistrate asked.

“I am not leaving the country,” Loo responded through a mandarin interpreter.

Loo was granted bail and will reappear in court on March 5.

Danny Siew was also charged with assault causing bodily harm but did not appear in court today.

An arrest warrant has been issued.
