Wagga has decided! Find out who’s been voted best brow technician in the region by the public.

The Wagga News readers have voted – and now we can reveal the best brow technician in the region.

Loma Werahiko at Wagga Wagga Threading by Loma. took out the title after readers voted for who they think is Wagga’s best brow technician, in our online poll.

Loma began her career in the beauty industry at just eight-years-old. Having watched her mum have her eyebrows threaded, she began practising the art on her friends at school.

For those who aren't familiar with threading, the beauty technique involves using a thin cotton thread and rolling it over areas of unwanted hair. The hair is plucked at the follicle level, and unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair.

“My teachers at school used to ask what I was doing but now some of them are my clients,” Loma said with a laugh.

Threading allows Loma to be extremely precise and she has created her beauty business around taking extreme care,

As well as threading, Loma provides a range of beauty services including henna brows and spray tans.

Her business is located at her home in Tatton, where she also takes care of her three young children.

“My clients are like my family,” Loma said.

“Not only do I get to know them on a personal level but they are invited into my home and they get a real personal experience like I would give to members of my own family,” she said.

Loma was overwhelmed to be named the best brow technician in Wagga.

“There are so many amazing beauticians in Wagga,” Loma said.

“I want to thank all my beautiful clients for supporting me.

“It‘s so lovely to hear because it just shows your work is appreciated.

“It‘s a job but it doesn’t feel like a job because I just love what I do each and every day.
