Turvey Park: Manny George McIntyre allegedly masturbated on porch
A man has fronted court accused of masturbating at an unknown woman’s front yard in Turvey Park after peering through her windows numerous times.

A man has fronted court accused of masturbating at an unknown woman’s front yard in Turvey Park after peering through her windows numerous times.
Manny George McIntyre, 33, appeared in Wagga Local Court today after facing charges of carrying out an attempted sexual act without consent. He has pleaded not guilty to the offence.
He also pleaded not guilty to the backup charge of entering an enclosed land intending to commit a sexual act.
The Wagga man pleaded guilty to two counts of entering an enclosed land intending to steal and one count of possessing a prohibited plant.
Today CCTV footage played to the court showed Mr McIntyre, dressed in track pants and a hooded jumper, entering the front yard of the house at about 7pm on June 3 last year.
The footage showed him lying down on the porch briefly before getting up onto his knees, pulling his pants down and allegedly masturbating.
It also showed him peering through a number of windows while he allegedly had his hands in his pants.
He left the house’s porch 10-15 minutes after he entered.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Jasmine Carr said her case was circumstantial — based on McIntyre’s position and recorded actions — because the victim did not see the alleged sexual act herself.
“For a large portion (of the video), it is the case that his hand is within his own trousers at the front,” she said.
“He then adopts a position whereby we say he is quite clearly on the CCTV footage masturbating.
“That is somewhat accepted by the accused in his record of interviewing (with police).”
Sergeant Carr also said the sexual act was allegedly directed at the victim because of his position and that he would have seen and heard the lights and TV sounds from inside.
She said it was only because the victim, who was allegedly in the kitchen at the time, did not look out the window that the charge became “attempted” instead.
Sergeant Carr also read out portions of the transcript of the interview between police and Mr McIntyre.
Mr McIntyre told police he was “scratching me d**k” and that he was looking for a bike when asked about why he pulled his pants down and what he was doing at the house.
He said “I don’t know man, I can’t explain” when asked about why he had his hands in his pants while peering through the windows.
During the hearing, the alleged victim also gave evidence.
McIntyre's solicitor Rachel Thampapillai tendered written submissions and previous cases to the court.
She said “little weight” should be put on whether the victim was in the kitchen at the time.
“It is submitted that that was at 6.30pm, she was in her bedroom at the back of the house and her blinds were closed,” Ms Thampapillai said.
McIntyre, who remains on bail, was not called upon to give evidence.
