Woman dies after falling from lookout at McKenzie’s Saddle Walking Track, Buangla

A woman has died after falling from a lookout near Nowra, on the state’s south coast. An operation is underway to retrieve the body.

A woman has died after falling from a lookout near Nowra, on the state’s south coast.

Emergency services were called to McKenzie’s Saddle Walking Track at Buangla, 25km west of Nowra, about 11.45am on Monday.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District and Police Rescue attended the scene, alongside the TOLL rescue helicopter.

The body of a woman was found a short time later about 50m below the lookout.

An operation is now underway by Police Rescue to retrieve the body and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
