A young mother has learned her fate after a police raid on her Sanctuary Point home revealed a wholesale vape reselling scheme, netting the woman thousands of dollars.

Tiffany Rawle pleaded guilty at the Nowra Local Court on Tuesday to possessing for resale about 469 nicotine vapes, as well as about $5000 cash police say was the proceeds of crime.

The 21-year-old mother-of-one told officers she had imported the vapes, which are restricted to wholesalers under law, from overseas before reselling them for between $15-35 each.

Lawyer Robert Ford told Magistrate Lisa Viney on Tuesday that Rawle’s scheme was on the “mid-range”, and that she resided with her father.

“Rawle has no criminal history,” Mr Ford said.

“She is employed as a cleaner, but is essentially a full time caregiver for her daughter.

“There is nothing aggravating about her offending.”

A further 0.7g of cocaine was also located in Rawle’s wallet during the search.

Rawle told officers it had been left over from birthday celebrations the week before, and that she had forgotten it was there. She pleaded guilty to possessing the prohibited drug.

In sentencing, Magistrate Lisa Viney said that while the offending fell on the lower end, the amount of canisters located was not insignificant.

“It seems like you had quite an enterprise going on,” she said.

Rawle was convicted and fined $1100 for the offences.
