A man accused of a string of domestic violence offences – from a serious assault to using a phone to harass – has fronted a South Coast court.
Steven Beattie, 41, fronted Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV), destroying or damaging property, and using a carriage service to harass, menace or offend.
The Eurobodalla-based man is yet to enter pleas.
Police will allege Beattie committed the assault against a person known to him earlier this year. The alleged assault led to severe injury, according to documents tendered in court.
It is also alleged Beattie used a phone to harass the alleged victim before damaging their belongings.
Beattie was arrested and granted bail before appearing in Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, where his lawyer indicated discussions were ongoing with police.
She said pleas would be entered at a later date.
Magistrate Doug Dick adjourned Beattie’s matter and he will appear in the same court on July 7.
