A South Coast man who police allege was found with counterfeit cash, cannabis plants and drugs has fronted court.
Shayn Peter Moss appeared in Milton Local Court after he was charged with possessing $650 in counterfeit money, growing a dozen cannabis plants and possessing the drug ice.
The 40-year-old did not enter any pleas on Thursday.
In documents tendered to the court, police allege Moss had four $100 and five $50 Australian notes that were counterfeit.
He also faces charges of cultivating prohibited plants after police found a hydroponic setup with 12 cannabis plants and one count of possessing a prohibited drug after he allegedly had less than 0.5 grams of methylamphetamine in his possession.
Moss was arrested after the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Dalwood to investigate an armed robbery at a registered club at Sussex Inlet in July 2019 and an attempted robbery at a registered club at Callala Beach in September 2019.
As part of ongoing investigations, strike force detectives executed a search warrant at a property at Sussex Inlet in June.
During the search, police seized methylamphetamine and counterfeit cash. A hydroponic set up was also located in a rear shed, and 12 cannabis plants were taken.
Moss’ case was adjourned until August 27 so he could undergo the Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) program. His bail was continued.
