A young man charged with sexually touching a child will remain free in the community.

Jesse Flentjar, 23, from Nowra, attended Local Court on Tuesday with four charges of intentionally sexually touch a child under 10 years.

No plea has been entered.

Flentjar’s lawyer Hannah Dreher recommended the matter be adjourned to allow the case to be reviewed, a motion Prosecutor Kingston did not oppose.

Bail was initially granted in late 2022 when the matter first appeared in Nowra Local Court after the alleged offence took place.

While Magistrate Lisa Viney agreed with the adjournment, she said three weeks was too long.

“This is a serious matter,” she said.

“We will return to court on February 21.”

Magistrate Viney also ruled for Flentjar’s bail to continue with an AVO to follow.
