A young man convicted for supplying cocaine around Sydney has breached his sentence conditions after being busted driving with drugs in his system and hanging out inside a drug house.

Luc Macquire was 19-years-old when he was convicted on June 30, 2023, for supplying cocaine around Sydney, fined $500 and sentenced to a two year community correction order.

Macquire made the move from the city to the south coast.

The 22-year-old appeared in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, with the court hearing he broke court orders by driving disqualified with cocaine in his system before being found lurking inside a drug-filled home.

Macquire previously pleaded guilty to driving with an illicit drug present in his blood, driving with a disqualified licence and being found inside a drug premises.

Documents tendered to the court reveal Macquire was found inside the NSW south coast drug house in mid 2024.

Police raiding the home found him sitting with other men surrounded by glass pipes, plastic bottles used for drugs, electronic scales and a number of mobile phones.

All items were seized by police before the men, including Macquire, were arrested.

While Macquire was charged with being inside the drug premises, he was not charged with any possession offences.

The court heard how Macquire was also busted driving in Bondi Junction while his licence was disqualified and with cocaine in his system.

Macquire was arrested and charged for the offences, which occurred while he was serving the community correction order for drug supply which was set to expire in July 2025.

The 22-year-old appeared for the two sets of matters where his lawyer, Nerida Walker, said her client was making moves to improve his life.

She informed Magistrate Lisa Viney that the 22-year-old lived with his grandparents in Nowra and had ceased all drug activities.

Ms Viney recognised how hard it was to beat a drug addiction.

However, despite her praise for his steps toward rehabilitation, Ms Viney said court orders were imposed for a reason and breaching them was “serious”, especially with multiple offences.

“It’s positive you’re trying to help yourself,” she said.

“But your record, your traffic record, it’s not great.”

Macquire was convicted for his new offences, issued a new 12 month community correction order and fined $2000.
