A man who allegedly assaulted and attempted to suffocate a woman has denied the accusations in court.
Jeremy Price, 45, was arrested in November after a call for public assistance in locating the Berry man.
Police allege on October 17, Price attacked the woman physically, before verbally threatening her and attempting to suffocate her by way of choking.
The alleged incident also contravened apprehended violence orders, according to documents tendered to Nowra Local Court.
Following investigation, Price was arrested, refused bail and placed in custody.
The 45-year-old appeared in court via video link from the South Coast Correctional Centre on Tuesday, pleading not guilty to intentionally choke someone without consent, common assault, stalk or intimidate to intend fear and contravene restrictions in an apprehended violence order.
Price’s lawyer, Brett Ford, said his client’s case would need to move to a hearing.
Magistrate Geraldine Beattie adjourned the case to March 10 2025.
