Australia's legal system shouldn't mirror 'what is on offer in the US'

The body of a man missing from Narooma on the state’s Far South Coast has been found only a short drive from his home after he failed to appear for a medical appointment.

James Wiggins, 59, was last seen at about 9am on Monday at a unit on Clarke St, Narooma, and was reported missing when he failed to attend a medical appointment later that day in Moruya, less than an hour away.

Following inquiries, the body of a man was located by NSW Police on Cemetery Rd, Narooma just before 8.30am on Tuesday. The seaside street is only a five-minute drive from the Clarke St unit.

While the body is yet to be formally identified by NSW Police, officers believe it to be that of the missing man.
